PPWR has applied since 12 August 2026. Online platforms must obtain each seller's producer-register registration and self-certification, and assess that information before activation (Article 45(4)-(6)). Fulfilment providers carry a matching duty under Article 45(7)-(8).Read the Article 45 explainer

From a seller list to an audit pack, in one verification layer

EPR Clear resolves each seller to the registers and streams that apply, verifies every number at the source, watches for revocations, and keeps the timestamped evidence log that PPWR Article 45 expects platforms to hold. This is the deeper tour: how it works, the API, monitoring, the evidence log, the exposure scan and the partner console.

How it works

From seller list to audit pack in four steps

1Send your sellers

Upload a CSV or call the API: company identity, the countries they sell into, and their product categories. That is all we need.

2We resolve the obligations

EPR Clear maps each seller to the waste streams and member states that apply, and to the national registers that hold the answer: packaging, WEEE, batteries, and the streams still landing.

3We verify at the source

Each number is format-validated, checked against the national register, and matched to the declared holder. You get a verdict per register and per stream, with the evidence basis shown in full.

4We keep watching, and keep the receipts

Continuous monitoring flags revocations and lapses. Every check is written to a timestamped, immutable evidence log, exportable as the audit pack your regulator, or your lawyer, will ask for.

What you get

One verification layer over a map of national registers

Verification APIOne call per seller. Verdicts per register and stream.

Send a seller's identity, country list and categories; get back registration status against each applicable national register, ready to gate activation. PPWR Article 44(13) requires national registers to be publicly accessible, free of charge and machine readable, which is exactly the layer EPR Clear aggregates.

Monitoring and revocation alertsA number valid in January can be revoked in March.

EPR Clear re-checks your seller portfolio continuously and alerts you when a registration lapses, changes holder, or disappears. Where registers publish daily, your monitoring is as fresh as the source.

Free exposure scanSee your exposure before a regulator does.

Upload a CSV of your sellers and get a readiness report within 24 hours: the share of your catalogue that is verifiably registered, the verdict breakdown, the country heat map, and your top risks. Free, and yours to keep.

Evidence logThe proof is the product.

Every check lands in a timestamped, immutable evidence log: the register consulted, the capture time, the snapshot hash, the ruleset version, and the verdict basis in plain language. Checking the official register and keeping the record is the standard of care; the log is that record, replayable point-in-time for any audit or dispute.

Partners and white labelVerification under your brand.

Compliance firms and authorised representatives resell EPR Clear as their own verification desk: per-check pricing, client-scoped evidence logs, and a register map that stays current as new schemes land. You keep the client relationship; we keep the registers wired.

The verify-before-activation duty has a date

Marketplaces that wait for enforcement letters will be verifying under pressure, seller by seller, with no evidence trail behind them. Send us your seller CSV today and get your readiness report within 24 hours: what share of your catalogue is verifiably registered, where the gaps are, and what it takes to close them before the deadline.
